Two staff members of Carroll Home Care and Carroll Hospice in Westminster, Md., recently were honored for their outstanding work with prestigious awards from the Maryland National Capital Homecare Association.

Diane Link, RN, executive director of Carroll Home Care and Carroll Hospice, was presented with the MNCHA’s Public Affairs Achievement Award for her contribution to home care services through her public affairs and community outreach activities, according to a news release.

The award recognized Link for her work in educating state and federal legislators about the importance of hospice and home health services to the community and for her knowledge of the industry, which has resulted in her being cited in several home health community newsletters.

Jennifer Windesheim, RN, manager of operations at Carroll Home Care, was presented with the MNCHA’s Malinowski Innovation Award for being instrumental in educating community providers on home health services. She was recognized for her hard work and innovation in educating hospital case management departments, long-term care departments and physician offices on new regulations for home health services and in helping to streamline the referral process.

“We are so excited to receive these awards because it is a recognition of all the hard work we do on a daily basis to promote home health, not only in our community, but statewide,” Link said in the release.
