The American Nurses Association stated its deepest sympathy and ongoing support to the people of the Philippines following the devastating typhoon that has left the country in a state of emergency. ANA President Karen A. Daley, RN, PhD, FAAN, expressed her concern directly to the president of the Philippine Nurses Association.

At this juncture, the most effective response is financial support, according to the ANA, which encourages its members and concerned health professionals to support the people of the Philippines with donations through the American Nurses Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund.

The ANF, in partnership with the Philippine Nurses Association of America, is accepting donations to provide aid and assistance to the people of the Philippines who have been affected by this disaster. Individuals can designate support for “Disaster Relief” via their online donation form.

The ANF is the charitable and philanthropic arm of the ANA.
