The Cardiac Care Unit from Mount Sinai Heart at The Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan was honored Jan. 2 with a silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence from The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

“We are so proud to offer our nurses and nurse practitioners a positive and supportive work environment with a true sense of team here at Mount Sinai,” Beth Oliver, RN, DNP, vice president of clinical operations at Mount Sinai Heart, said in a news release.

“Working closely together each and every day, we aim to offer nothing but the best clinical care possible to patients in the CCU and across every patient unit.”

The three-year designation was awarded Jan. 2.
