Adventist Hinsdale Hospital held an Illinois premiere of the movie, “The American Nurse: Healing America,” on May 27 at the Christ Church of Oak Brook in Oak Brook.

Shawn Tyrrell, RN, MSN, CNO at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, was the event’s host. Welcoming remarks also were made by Sharon Canariato, RN, MSN, MBA, executive director of the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders, and Cheryl Portner, RN, MSN, vice president of staff development and training/nurse executive, Gannett Healthcare Group, Nurse.com.

Sister Stephen Bloesl, RN, BSN, one of the nurses featured in the film, attended the premiere and presented awards to Hinsdale Hospital RNs, honoring them for outstanding achievements.
