Bethesda Health announces 2014 Bethesda Nurse of the Year

Bethesda Health Inc.in Boynton Beach, Fla., named Ellen Dreznin, RN, its 2014 Bethesda Nurse of the Year on May 7. Dreznin was nominated by her peers and honored at Bethesda’s annual nurses appreciation breakfast and award ceremony held in commemoration of National Nurses Week. Geralyn Lunsford, RN, BSN, MHM, administrator of Bethesda Hospital West and vice president of patient services, hosted the ceremony.

Dreznin has worked at Bethesda Hospital East for 18 years. She works in the clinical surgical unit at Bethesda Orthopaedic Institute.

“I feel like a super nurse,” Dreznin said in a news release. “I’m so happy to be a part of the nursing staff at Bethesda Health.”

The candidates for Bethesda’s Nurse of the Year award are nominated for their dedication and excellence in the nursing profession. The other Nurse of the Year candidates were RNs Teena Camadella, Patricia O’Brien, Melissa Leamon, Kristoffer Pernsteiner, Audrey Smith, Kenny Lowe, Denise Penna, Charmaine Bennett, Melanie Verde, Tien Phung, Beth Albert, Miriam Sullivan, Carol Bush and Alyssa Grounds.
