Donning their graduation caps and gowns, 15 students at the Bethesda College of Health Sciences, Boynton Beach, Fla., made history May 9 by becoming the college’s first graduating class of nurses, according to a news release.

Family, friends, college faculty and Bethesda Health staff were in attendance to celebrate.

“Nursing graduates, you are standing at the threshold of a fulfilling career,” Jeanette Kamciyan, RN, MSN, MIS, FNP-C, dean of the Bethesda College of Health Sciences, told the class, according to the release.

“This commencement marks the beginning of a life as a professional nurse where you will have the opportunity to learn and grow if you keep an open and inquiring mind.
