Ann M. Painter, RN, MSN, has been elected chairwoman of the Home Care Association of New Jersey, an organization offering information, assistance and advocacy for home healthcare providers, patients and their families. She is president and CEO of the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills, headquartered in Basking Ridge, N.J.
According to a news release, Painter is committed to increasing awareness of the innovative care models, high-quality outcomes and cost effectiveness of mission-based non-profit healthcare.
She has presented about strategic partnerships in home healthcare at the Visiting Nurse Association of America’s 2013 annual meeting, clinical best practices at the National Association of Home Care and Hospice Conference, the future of nursing at the New Jersey Hospital Association, and as a panel expert on nursing opportunities at the 2012 New Jersey State Nurses Association annual convention. In addition to participation on the VNAA education committee and quality task force, Painter briefed Congressional staffers from New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts on the significant impact of CMS Face-to-Face requirements on home health organizations and beneficiaries during the 2012 VNAA Public Policy Leadership Conference.
