On June 24, Boston-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute announced the opening of a new satellite location for hematology and oncology services at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, Mass.
Under this new arrangement, patients with blood disorders and cancer will receive care from Dana-Farber nurses and physicians at St. Elizabeth’s campus, according to a news release. This expanded affiliation also creates a way for patients to access Dana-Farber clinical trials, support groups and other support services.
St. Elizabeth’s and Dana-Farber started collaborating to provide hematology/oncology services in 2011. The new location is an expansion of that collaboration, the release said.
St. Elizabeth’s also has completed a newly renovated infusion center, radiation center and ICU.
