American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses names new board president

“Jacque Crosson, RN, MSN, CPAN, a Phoenix resident, has been named president of the American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses 2014-2015 board of directors, according to a
release.

As the clinical manager and a preop/PACU nurse at John C. Lincoln Hospital, Phoenix, Crosson is responsible for the inpatient perianesthesia nursing department of this Level One trauma center.

Crosson served the ASPAN in a number of capacities, including as vice president/president-elect and secretary of the board from 2008 to 2012. She is a longstanding member of ASPAN’s clinical practice committee, and president of Arizona PeriAnesthesia Nurses Association, one of ASPAN’s 40
state components.

The theme she selected for ASPAN’s 2014-15 term is “Igniting Professionalism: Excellence in Practice, Leadership and Collaboration,” which will culminate at the 34th National Conference April 26-30, 2015, in San Antonio.

Crosson holds an MSN from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in health arts from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Ill.

Vice President Armi Holcomb, RN, BSN, CPAN. also will serve a one-year term, after which she will assume the office of president. Holcomb is a PACU/SDS nurse at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Clinics — Campus, Overland Park, Kan, She holds a BSN from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.
