Donna Cardillo receives CSP speaking designation

Nurse.com’s career advice columnist Donna Cardillo, RN, MA, has earned the certified speaking professional designation, an international recognition for professional speakers from the National Speakers Association.

The CSP credential is awarded to those who demonstrate competence in professional standards and a commitment to the speaking profession with a track record of professionalism and success, according to a news release. To qualify for this recognition one must complete requirements that include documenting 250 presentations and fees paid in the past 10 years. Cardillo is one of only 20 nurses in the world with this credential, according to the release.

Cardillo, who answers nurses’ career question in Nurse.com’s Dear Donna column, is also author of books, including “The Ultimate Career Guide for Nurses” and “Your First Year as a Nurse;” founder of DonnaCardillo.com; a motivational keynote speaker; and a humorist. She also hosts Nurse.com Career Alternatives for Nurses seminars.

Cardillo has spoken in six countries on four continents over the last 19 years for clients including the U.S. military, state governments, media companies, pharmaceutical and healthcare corporations, hospitals, schools, universities and trade associations. Active in the community, Cardillo is a founding member and past-president of the New Jersey chapters of the National Speakers Association and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
