Franklin Square conference focuses on collaboration

The Evidence-Based Practice and Research Council at Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore focused on working together in its fourth research conference, “Shifting Gears: The Mechanics of Research Collaboration.”

The recent conference gave nurses and audience members the opportunity to learn how researchers use the power of collaboration to blend the unique strengths of different disciplines to create innovative practices and new knowledge.

Nancy King Reame, RN, PhD, MSN, FAAN, of the Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research at Columbia University in New York was the keynote speaker.

The conference was planned and hosted by Franklin Square’s Evidence-Based Practice and Research Council, a staff nurse-led committee focused on facilitating a culture of research and innovation and applying evidence-based research into nursing practice.
