Nurses link patients to physicians through TeleHealth program

0

Nurses in are helping to launch Orange, Calif.-based TeleHealth Medical Group’s Teleconsult, a new practice concept using video conferencing. By visiting a patient’s home and setting up a laptop, webcam and digital medical kit, a nurse enables a physician to view a patient’s vital signs on screen during a secure, online instant video conference/consultation.

Seniors with limited mobility are said to benefit most from TMG’s new platform, which allows patients to receive a comprehensive exam without visiting a physician’s office. The online appointment is conducted and recorded on a secure link to ensure the quality of administered care, and loved ones can participate in the Teleconsult, a tremendous benefit to those who cannot attend appointments in person.

“Our goal is to make collaborative and personal clinical care more accessible to patients and be a leader in delivering quality care in the ever-changing healthcare landscape,” said Bryn Henderson, DO, founder of TMG.
