IOM committee on nursing research meets next month

The Institute of Medicine has announced the membership of the Standing Committee on Credentialing Research in Nursing, which will meet Jan. 14 in Washington, D.C., to discuss issues related to research on the credentialing of nurses and organizations.

Sponsored by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the committee will address topics such as emerging priorities for nursing credentialing research; research methodologies and measures relevant to nursing credentialing research; the impact of individual and organizational credentialing in nursing on improving healthcare performance, quality and outcomes; and strategic planning for moving the field of nursing credentialing research forward.
