Nurses at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles presented four posters at California and Texas conferences in the last six months.
“We are proud of our nurses,” Lynne Whaley, RN, MS, senior vice president of clinical operations and CNE at White Memorial, said in a news release. “Not only do they provide excellent service to every patient, every time, but [also], their work shines at national conferences.”
Three posters were exhibited at the Nov. 6-8 eighth annual Versant Client Conference in San Antonio and at the Feb. 10-13 Association of California Nurse Leaders 35th annual conference in San Diego. ED nurses Tanya Padilla, RN, ADN; Norma Jean Theobald, RN, MSN-Ed; and Leah Patterson, RN, MBA, presented the poster “Extra, Extra! Read All About It! How Our Emergency Department Demonstrates Collaboration through a Bimonthly Unit Newsletter.” ICU nurses Ananty Hernandez, RN, MSN; Esther Ong, RN, MSN-Ed; and Hazel Ada, RN, MSN, presented the poster “A Change in Culture: Beginning the Planetree Journey at White Memorial Medical Center.” ED nurses Veronica Lopez, RN, BSN; Theobald; and Elizabeth Garcia, RN, ADN, presented the poster “Getting Up Front and Personal With EMA: How Our Emergency Department Improved Our Front-End Throughput Process.”
Nurses on the 6N Tele/Stroke unit, Angeline Victorio, RN, BSN; Jennifer Aguinaldo, RN, BSN; Avelyne Stickley, RN, BSN; and Jeanette Dano, RN, BSN, presented the poster “Performance Improvement Priority: 100 Days of No Falls” at the Association of California Nurse Leaders conference and the Versant conference, and at the Institute of Healthcare Improvements Dec. 9-12 24th National Forum on Quality Improvement in Healthcare in Orlando, Fla.
