A number of nurses at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Md., were honored early in 2013.
Anise Moledina, RN, an ED nurse, was selected as the January Associate of the Month.
A member of Carroll Hospital Centers staff for 36 years, Moledina was nominated for going above and beyond her normal duties to care for a young patient and make her feel calm and reassured while in the hospitals ED, according to a news release.
“Anise is a special member of our team and an amazing nurse.” Norma Austin, RN, BSN, CEN, CPEN, executive director of emergency services, said in the release.
“She touches the lives of all her patients with her compassion and exceptional care.”
Stacy Little, RN, was selected as the February Associate of the Month.
A member of Carroll Hospital Centers staff for nearly 15 years, Little was nominated for her expertise and dedication to patient care when she went above and beyond her duties to assist staff members with a medical procedure, according to the release.
“Stacy is an exceptional nurse that exemplifies what teamwork is all about,” Stephanie Reid, RN, BSN, MBA, CNO and assistant vice president of nursing, said in the release.
“The well-being of patients is always her top priority, and she is always willing to go the extra mile to improve a patients experience.”
Cheryl Humbert, RN, was presented with the February DAISY Award.
A nurse at the hospital for 38 years, Humbert was nominated for her exceptional care and for her compassion toward a co-worker after a tragic loss, according to the release.
“Cheryl is an exemplary nurse who genuinely cares for all her patients and co-workers,” Reid said in the release.
“She always goes above and beyond to ensure she treats everyone with the dignity, respect and compassion they deserve.”
