After a national search, Denise D. Fall, RN, MSN, BSN, CNM, was named to the top nursing post at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash. Fall had been interim nurse executive since March 2012. As nurse executive, Fall provides nursing oversight and leadership for more than 500 nurses at the medical center and four provider-based clinics.
“Denise is an excellent communicator and innovative problem solver, and she strives each and every day to foster a collaborative environment for all clinicians and staff,” Jonathan Avery, chief administrative officer at Legacy Salmon Creek, said in a news release. “Everyone who has worked with Denise enjoys her positive energy and engaging personality.”

She has been named to the Oregon Center of Nursing and has earned numerous awards and accolades during her career, including Legacy Health Nursing Excellence Awards every year from 2007 through 2011.
“Ive been so impressed by the commitment to quality at Legacy Salmon Creek, and by the collaborative spirit I find on every floor, in every unit of the hospital,” Fall said in the release. “Im happy and honored to be part of this team.”
