University of Phoenix College of Nursing and Waukesha (Wis.) County Technical College created a pathway to enable WCTC nursing students to seamlessly transfer into University of Phoenix to earn MSNs.
“Lifelong learning is crucial for nurses,” Sandy Stearns, RN, MSN, dean of WCTCs School of Health, said in a news release. “At WCTC, we continuously strive to present our students with opportunities to progress their education beyond the associate level. We are proud to offer our nursing students this pathway to University of Phoenix.”
Under the new partnership, eligible students and graduates of WCTCs Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program will be able to transfer into University of Phoenixs BSN program. Students then may continue their education by enrolling in the MSN/nurse administration program.
University of Phoenixs Community College Center of Excellence is the gateway for community colleges and their students to connect with the university. The CCCE contributes to developing the workforce by guiding associate degree students on their path to earning a bachelors degree while also connecting them to jobs.
