Bayfront Health, a newly created regional network of seven Health Management Associates hospitals stretching from Brooksville, Fla., in the north to Punta Gorda, Fla., in the south will improve patient care by providing a complete continuum of services for Gulf Coast residents, according to a news release.
Patients will be able to choose the facility that best meets their needs. Each hospital will take Bayfront Health as its name. In addition to the facility alignment, the network also will benefit from a clinical and educational affiliation with UF Health, according to the release. The seven hospitals in the network include:
Bayfront Health Brooksville (previously Brooksville Regional Hospital)
Bayfront Health Dade City (previously Pasco Regional Medical Center)
Bayfront Health Port Charlotte (previously Peace River Regional Medical Center)
Bayfront Health Punta Gorda (previously Charlotte Regional Medical Center)
Bayfront Health Spring Hill (previously Spring Hill Regional Hospital)
Bayfront Health St. Petersburg (previously Bayfront Medical Center)
Venice Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Bayfront Health
“We want our patients to know that wherever they are in the Bayfront Health network, they will be receiving expert, quality care,” José Morillo, CEO of the former Charlotte Regional Medical Center, said in the release. “The strength of Bayfront Health is the experience of the nearly 6,100 professionals who dedicate themselves every day to delivering quality healthcare.”
