Ten local hospitals and health systems from the New Jersey/Hudson Valley region were recognized in July as part of Hospitals and Health Networks magazines annual Most Wired list.
This years list was the 15th annual produced by the magazine.
The Most Wired winners included the following:
Atlantic Health System, Morristown, N.J.
HackensackUMC, Hackensack, N.J.
Meridian Health, Neptune, N.J.
Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J.
Saint Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick, N.J.
St. Josephs Healthcare System, Paterson, N.J.
Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, N.J.
Valley Health System, Ridgewood, N.J.
The magazine also recognizes Most Improved facilities. This year, Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., and White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital were among the honorees.
According to the magazines website, the Most Wired survey is designed to measure the level of IT adoption in U.S. hospitals and health systems, and is a useful tool for healthcare leaders to map their IT strategic plans. Health Forum, an American Hospital Association information company, distributes, collects and analyzes the Most Wired data and develops benchmarks for measuring IT adoption for operational, financial and clinical performance in healthcare delivery systems.
