Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, Va., has earned The Joint Commissions Gold Seal of Approval for its Reflections Eating Disorders Treatment Center by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commissions national standards for healthcare quality and safety in disease-specific care.
According to a news release, the certification recognizes Reflections dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commissions standards for treating eating disorders.
Dominion Hospitals Reflections Eating Disorders Treatment Center underwent an on-site review in July. A Joint Commission expert evaluated Reflections for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients and families, including effective use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines to manage and optimize care.
In achieving Joint Commission certification, Reflections Eating Disorders Treatment Center has demonstrated its commitment to the highest level of care for its patients with eating disorders, Jean Range, RN, MS, CPHQ, executive director, Disease-Specific Care Certification, The Joint Commission, said in the release.
Certification is a voluntary process and I commend Reflections for successfully undertaking this challenge to elevate its standard of care and instill confidence in the community it serves.
