RN resume tips

A question I am frequently asked by nurses: “Does my resume have to be on one page?” In some occupations, a one-page resume is standard but not in nursing. By the time you list your education, licensure information, certifications and one or two jobs, you’re already on two pages. A two-page resume is standard for most nursing employment situations.

And don’t confuse a curriculum vitae or CV with a resume. They are two different animals! A CV is a longer, more expanded version of a resume reserved for doctoral degree driven environments such as academia, research, advanced practice and the publishing world.
