Marcia Redden, RN, BS, corporate director of perioperative services with Kennedy Health System, received the Divisional Leader Award from the Organization of Nurse Executives of New Jersey.
The Divisional Leader Award is presented to an ONE/NJ nurse leader responsible for divisional or multiple units who does not serve as a chief nursing officer. Redden, an eight-year member of the Kennedy Health System nursing leadership team, received the award in recognition of her many accomplishments at Kennedy, including her leadership role in the development of Kennedys bariatric and robotic surgery programs and our acclaimed neurosciences program in 2011.

Redden is responsible for operations and strategic planning for surgical services at Kennedys three hospitals. She was one of seven honorees to receive awards at the ONE/NJ Annual Holiday Meeting and Awards Brunch on Dec. 6.
Before joining Kennedy in 2005, Redden served as director of surgical services at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia for 17 years, where her many achievements included starting transplant programs for liver, lung and bone marrow. She had also served as director of surgical services at Bethany Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., from 1979 to 1987.
