GetWellNetwork Inc. of Bethesda, Md., a leader in interactive patient care solutions, announced that Ellen Swartwout, RN, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, has joined the company as vice president of research and analytics.
Swartwout will be responsible for integrating evidence-based nursing and care theory into the companys IPC delivery model, according to a news release. She also will be working with the Institute for Interactive Patient Care to develop a national agenda for research in patient engagement.

Her expertise as a clinician and scholar will help us advance patient care as we work with leading healthcare organizations around the country and the world.
Swartwout is the immediate past senior director of certification and measurement services at the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has more than 27 years of experience in nursing, having served in numerous leadership roles. Prior to her role at ANCC, she was senior director of professional practice at Inova Health System in Virginia. She also has been an adjunct professor of biostatistics at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
