St. Joseph Medical Center inducts Profiles of Compassion nurses

Fifteen RNs from the University of Maryland’s St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md., were inducted into the inaugural class of the Profiles of Compassion Guild on April 29. More than 300 guests attended the ceremony in the medical center’s rotunda.

The nurses selected embody the medical center’s values of reverence, integrity, compassion and excellence. Each year, five nurses will be inducted into the guild that is supported solely through philanthropy.

The 2014 inaugural class inductees were: Kathleen Biemer, RN; Stacy Boyle, RN; Jill Brown, RN; Liana Chotikul, RN; Sue Conrad, RN (retired); Sue Currence, RN; Frances Forte, RN, (retired); Maria Giachini, RN; Mary Alice Harvey, RN, (retired); Mary Jo Huber, RN; Rosemarie Liberatore, RN, (retired); Michele McKee, RN; Rose Menton, RN; Grace Serafini, RN; and Janet Stefanelli, RN.

After the induction, the gallery was unveiled to reveal portrait photographs of each nurse. It will be permanently recessed in a small gallery on the main concourse of the medical center. The gallery also has an embedded iPad with a short biography of each nurse.
