Debbie Morales, RN, BSN, CCRN, MSBM, MSPM, recently was named nurse manager of the intensive care unit at Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Hazel Crest, Ill., as well as its hemodialysis and IV therapy units, according to a news release.
Morales is responsible for the coordination of the overall operations of the ICU, dialysis and IV team. She will monitor standards of nursing practice, ensure availability and appropriate utilization of resources, as well as support collaboration between nursing, physicians and other staff, according to the release.
Morales previous leadership experience includes serving as nurse director of ICU, hemodialysis and the vascular access team since 2010 at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago. Morales has worked as a nurse since 2002 and has a wide range of experience including critical care and several leadership roles. Morales earned her BSN at Northern Illinois University and her masters degree in project management and business management from Colorado Technical University.
