AnnMarie Papa, RN, DNP, CEN, NE-BC, FAEN, FAAN, has been appointed vice president and CNO at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton, Pa. Papa will be responsible for directing the personnel, operations and financial activities for nursing services and the interventional platform at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, according to a news release.
Papa joins Einstein Medical Center Montgomery from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she held multiple nursing leadership positions over the last four years. Most recently, she served as the clinical director for emergency, observation and medical nursing.
With more than 35 years experience, Papa has a proven track record of successful team building, innovative problem-solving and leadership development, according to the release. She has presented regionally, nationally and internationally on many topics, including emergency nursing, leadership, mentoring, among others. She has been recognized for her exemplary leadership with local, state and national awards, including the National Emergency Nurses Association Judy Kelleher Founders Award and the Health Leaders Media Top 20.
Papa holds both a BSN and MSN from Villanova University in Villanova, Pa., and a DNP from Waynesburg University in Waynesburg, Pa. She is a Fellow in both the American Academy of Nursing and the Academy of Emergency Nursing.
