The American Nurses Association has formed an educational alliance composed of several university partners that offer discounts on online nursing degree programs to ANA members.
Each educational alliance partner offers nursing programs that are accredited by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. The ANA will add more alliance partners over time to increase the number and diversity of partners and to provide more choices to nurses.
To date, Capella University, Chamberlain College of Nursing, Drexel University Online and Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies have joined the educational alliance. For more information, the ANA website, www.ana.org, provides links to these programs.
The ANAs Education Resource Center, of which the educational alliance is part, offers tools and resources to help registered nurses pursue higher education and leadership development.
The centers portal provides access to ongoing continuing education offerings, ANAs Leadership Institute and the Educational Alliance, which partners with education organizations that offer programs such as RN-to-BSN tracks to doctoral programs.
The ANA holds a long-term vision of further developing the center so that RNs will have access to a robust offering of resources to assist in the advanced education decision-making process and to provide meaningful tuition discounts for online programs to ANA members, according to the organizations website.
